Hi, I’m Tay Melodies, a DJ and curator who crafts deep, soulful soundscapes that blend house music with global influences, R&B, and hip-hop. My love for music was shaped early on by growing up between New Jersey and Philadelphia, where boom bap rap, neo-soul, Jersey Club, and Baltimore Club were always in rotation.
At the same time, I was that kid deep in MySpace and Tumblr, falling in love with indie pop and alternative rock, building playlists based purely on mood and emotion. That mix of worlds still lives in everything I play today
My sets are rooted in feeling. I’m less interested in chasing trends and more focused on creating an atmosphere, something warm, intentional, and immersive. Whether it’s a dance floor, a lounge, or an intimate gathering, my goal is always the same: to create a space where people can relax, connect, and move freely, guided by sound.
Soul Sundays
Soul Sundays is a bi-weekly outdoor DJ event rooted in soul and house music, creating a warm, feel-good space for the community to gather, dance, and connect. What started as an intimate pop-up has grown each week, drawing in music lovers who come not just for the sounds, but for the energy. Over time, Soul Sundays has blossomed into more than just an event, it’s a community movement centered on rhythm, joy, and soulful connection outside the traditional club scene.
